MEET YOUR THERAPIST
Andrea Caro
As a first-generation Argentinian-American, I relate to issues of belonging, marginalization, and cultural identity.
I help adults in Minnesota heal from anxiety, depression, sleep problems, past trauma, and grief. The focus is on increasing self-esteem and awareness, successfully managing life transitions, and cultivating more fulfilling relationships.
In addition to individual therapy, I work with interracial couples navigating acculturation stress. My approach is relational, emphasizing constructive conflict resolution and fostering appreciation for meaningful individual differences.
Coaching is also available to assist with job transitions, career changes, and financial management.
I hold a Master’s in Counseling, a Master’s in Business Administration, advanced training in EMDR and DBT, yoga training. and specialties in bilingual therapy (Spanish/English) and cultural competence.
My Approach
I take great pride in working with first and second-generation immigrants and strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood.
My approach is warm, affirming, and insightful, tailored to help you thrive through life transitions, navigate change, build self-esteem, and align your life with your core values.
Together, we will work to overcome grief, recover from stress and burnout, heal from past trauma and acculturation challenges, and remove barriers that stand in your way.
Before becoming a therapist, I built my career in both corporate and non-profit organizations. Through my own life experiences, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the stress that comes with life crises, family dynamics, career transitions, marriage, divorce, relationships, and acculturation challenges.
My own winding journey has shaped my ability to connect with a variety of individuals and empathize with their unique struggles.
I know that growing can feel uncomfortable.
You are not alone. Let’s talk.
My Values
I strongly believe that if we are seen, respected, and honored, we are capable of overcoming the difficulties that life presents.
Providing people with a safe space to be heard, understood, seen, and know they are not alone is critical in what I do; to support clients achieve their goals with a personalized treatment, and change that is lasting.
